Food

Morning and Afternoon Tea

The children's morning tea and afternoon tea consists of a variety of snacks, including fresh fruit, dips & bread, scones, fruit slices, along with a drink of their choice - cow's milk, soy milk, or water.

Snack time

Babies who drink formula will be offered a small amount of their formula in a training cup at this time.

Lunchtimes

John Street provides a nutritious and balanced menu that helps develop children's understanding and enjoyment of food. Independence is encouraged when eating.

Allergies, meat / non-meat / non-dairy preference and religious diversity are readily accommodated in our meals and snacks. A four weekly menu is displayed in the kitchen window, the foyer and in each room.

Bottles

Bottles of ready made formula should be sealed with the teat well-covered and placed in the fridge upon arrival. Each bottle should be clearly labeled with your child's name. Bottles will be rinsed after use and placed in your child's bag.

Mothers are welcome to visit throughout the day to breast feed their child. Bottles of expressed breast milk must also be clearly labeled.
