Staff

John Street currently has 14 permanent staff members in full and part time capacity. There is a balance of training and experience in this team with some very long standing as well as newer staff members. The trained child care workers hold at least a two year qualification, as per Children's Services Regulations. 1998, some hold three year qualifications. There is also a qualified kindergarten teacher.

There is a wealth of knowledge and experience in this staff group who create programs inclusive of children's interests, learning styles, cultural / family background and additional (special) needs.

We currently hold a 2 year Quality Improvement and Accreditation (QIAS) rating. Regular informal evaluations by all staff occur during this in-between time. Quality Improvement and Accreditation is an initiative by the Federal Government to ensure that all pre-school children in childcare are receiving quality care, not just care.
